-V switching to verify timing issue

Description
When I run mondoarchive using -V (verify) mondo asks for device /dev when switching from making the DVD to verifying the DVD.
During the start of the verify mondo asks for the /dev. If I answer the /dev prompt immediately mondo then asks to abort the backup. But if I wait till the dvd activity stops then enter /dev/sr0 the verify proceeds and the mondoarchive with verify succeeds.
