Numbering scheme in gentoo ebuilds

Reported by: Talamona Francesco Owned by: Bruno Cornec
Priority: normal Milestone: 2.2.9.5
Component: mondo Version: 2.2.9.4
Severity: normal Keywords:
Cc:

Description

Gentoo has an official tree for ebuilds, users can have their overlays, in order to these overlays to work the digest files have to be created:

ebuild mindi-2.0.7.6-r0.20110128002916.ebuild digest !!! sys-apps/mindi-2.0.7.6-r0.20110128002916 does not follow correct package syntax.

This is not working because the numbering scheme isn't met, for more details see: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=1

Obviously mondo has the same issue.

For reference this topic was briefly discussed in the ML: http://mondorescue-mailing-list.679749.n3.nabble.com/Mondo-devel-General-question-about-numbering-scheme-td1272508.html

A couple examples: app-emulation/dosemu-1.4.1_pre20091009 app-office/mdbtools-0.6_pre2-r2

Thanks for the report and link.

I have now made 2 new beta version of the ebuild again at ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/test/gentoo/nover

Let me know if this sounds more correct like this (I chose o use _p and the date tag).
