Now that 2.2.2 is officially published on ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org could you check again if this has been solved for good.

to fix mindi boot failure with "...bread failed..." error edit /usr/sbin/mindi and append 'ramdisk_blocksize=1024' to ADDITIONAL_BOOT_PARAMS (centos/rhel5, mindi 1.2.3)
