Description
It would be very handy, if mondo could encrypt the backup with a password and ask for it during restore/compare.

If you let Mondo create .iso files and burn them to DVD, then those DVDs are not protected and may be restored by anyone who finds them.

Well I'd say that you could always encrypt them before burning them. Of course they won't be bootable so in htat case you would need mindi and the decompressor env to be sure to treat them.
Other possibility is to keep your media i na safe place (a bank coffer for example) to avoid unauthorized people to access to them.
Leaving open as I see your point, but still don't think there is an urgent need.

2.2.9 should support sshfs already as a way to protect net restore mode. Why do you think mondo should provide the encrypt/decrypt function, and not an external program used after mondo ?
