off-line backup of file system

Description
Unable to correctly restore a root file system mounted (readonly or not) to e.g. /mnt/hda1 during backup phase - the wipe-restore will dump all data into a directory /mnt/hda1 instead of correct /
=> mondo/mindi really should have some kind of "chroot" option to allow making off-line backups (i.e. not live/"hot" backups)
