Description
With the latest Debian stock kernels on booting the mondorestore DVD the cdrom is not found. This is true with linux-image-2.6.32-5-<arch> in Unstable and Testing and with linux-image-2.6.36-trunk-<arch> in Experimental. I attach the mondoarchive + mindi logs but can't save the mondorestore log so I don't have that. The error started occurring upon the disappearance of devices /dev/hd* from the kernel and being replaced by /dev/sd*. So although I could not boot the rescue DVD with a Debian stock kernel, I could with my own kernel, which still showed /dev/hda. But then I added a SATA disk and had to modify my own kernel to recognize it and since then I cannot boot the rescue DVD either with it.

the log shows that you launch the command with -f /dev/hda. So the result you mention :-( Remove it first and come back with results.
