Ref CENTOS 5.3, install mondo via yum...

I downloaded the yum mondorescue.repo and pb.repo files fm the ftp site and put them in /etc/yum.repos.d directory.

When I run "yum install mondo" I get:

# yum install mondo Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile

  • base: mirrors.cmich.edu
  • updates: mirror.nuvio.com
  • addons: repos.lax-noc.com
  • extras: mirror.newnanutilities.org

Setting up Install Process Parsing package install arguments No package mondo available. Nothing to do #

The ftp download mondorescue.repo is: [mondorescue] name=centos 5 - mondorescue Vanilla Packages baseurl=​ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/centos/5 enabled=1 gpgcheck=0

Any hints much appreciated.

So the mondorescue repo is not loaded. Maybe you didn't refreshed your setup ?

Try yum clean metadata before relaunching
