#206 | invalid | mondo restore fails
Description |
I have done a mondo backup on the harddisk. It has created 2 iso files, which I have burnt on two CDs. This part is ok. The OS I did the backup on is a RedHat Linux Enterprise Server version 4 (Nahant update 4) kernel 2.6.9-42. Also this Server does not have floppy drive attached to it. If needed I can attach a USB floppy. Also the hard disks are 2 SCSI disks hardware configured in RAID 1 mode. When it is about to start the restore procedure from the CD, it says that it cannot find an sda device and it stops with: sh:can't access tty;job control turned off The same OS when done on a system with a floppy and an IDE disk, with the same rpms installed works fine. Pls advice. |

#207 | duplicate | partial success booting from and restoring from usb stick
Description |
I'm developing a debian installer from a usb flash stick. I currently can boot all the way to the interactive command line with no problems. To continue, I must resort to manually mounting the usb stick to /mnt/cdrom from an alternate screen whenever it fails to find the archives directory (it's looking on the cdrom device). I've apparently taken it a far as I can from editing text files in the mondorestore-1.iso file. Further progress appears to require changes in the C/C++ sources. Two questions:

Thanks for a unique and useful tool! BTW, my apologies in advance if this should have been submitted to a discussion group rather than a trac ticket (if so, please direct me) Phil Walker phil.walker@… |

#208 | fixed | sshfs, webdav, samba as backup media types
Description |
sshfs and webdav would be very great to have as backup media types, since ssh and web servers are in some situations the only backup medias available. samba would be nice to have. |
