After updating the RedHat kernel to version 2.6.9-55, a new Mindi boot image no longer works when booting on identical hardware. This used to work just fine with the 2.6.9-42 kernel and it still does when I use the images created with the older kernel version. The symptoms are similar to ticket #172. This is on the Compaq Proliant DL-580 line of servers running RHEL v.4. I've updated to the latest versions of Mondo/Mindi, but same results. I have the mindi log if needed. I am trying to build a bootable disk and the kernel freezes on restore. I have been to the formums and i did try and pull out the acpi=off but to no avail. Please help. I did pull down the mindi-kernel also. |
