741	Boot from media - Unable to mount root fs	Corey Wirun	Bruno Cornec	"I recently burned a new mondo DVD and I was able to boot from the new media. When I request a media compare and it starts, I get a kernel panic:

'Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(1,0)'

I'm using the test mondo release as provided by Bruno as part of the verification of ticket #735. This was the first media from that release that I've ever tried to boot from.

{{{
# rpm -q -a | grep -i mondo

# rpm -q -a | grep -i mindi

mindi-3.0.020140330005930-0.rhel6.x86_64
}}}

From what I could tell, the boot media creation was successful. I've attached the logs from that creation session. I did install the packages in the correct order: busybox, mindi, mondo.

Thinking I might have a bad burner/player, I attempted a boot on a separate, but identical, piece of hardware, but running 'nuke'. Same problem with the kernel panic. The hardware is a DELL Optiplex 760 - right out of the box.

I would appreciate any assistance/advice.

Corey.
